**COMMENTING**
Hi guys, I've have been having a big issue with spammers on this site so I have to add the static phrase element to all comments. With the commenting system on this system, you may need to click on the "Post Comment" button, rather than pressing enter on the keyboard. I hope this doesn't hinder the comments, I appreciate them all! Thank you!

Kahai Street Kitchen

Hello everyone! Happy October to you all! October is going to be a crazy busy month for me so I'm pretty excited! I'm actually visiting Philadelphia and New York for the first time ever later this month and I have a mixture of fear and excitement all at once! smile Anyhoo, here is a post that includes a few visits to Kahai Street Kitchen. Both from a catering experience and take-out experience. Enjoy!

Shirokiya Tako-Yaki

Shirokiya set up a special tako-yaki stand on the second floor to sell some wonderful fresh tako-yaki. For those who don't know, tako-yaki includes a big piece of tako (octopus) covered in a tempura crust, tonkatsu sauce, mayonnaise, red ginger, powdered seaweed, shaved bonito and spring onions. With all those flavors in one bite, who could beat that? Here are some quick pictures of it.

Tenkaippin Ramen

Tenkaippin Ramen commercials have flooded Hawaii TVs for a few months now, with very famous sumo wrestling stars singing its praises. I decided to give this ramen joint a try and came away with an interesting experience. Come along for the journey, will you?

Okata Bento

I have a lot of catching up to do! I have many posts ready for the blog that are months old, I'm going to forget a lot of details! Oh if only blogging were easier, that's why I want to switch over to Wordpress! Anyhoo, Whenever I am in Waialae, I always pass by Okata Bento wondering what they serve. They always seem to be closed during the times I pass by so I decided our office should give this place a try! We got quite a bit of food, so get ready for a lot of pictures!

Nijiya Market Now Open

I go to work everyday in Manoa and have been greatly anticipating the opening of this new Japanese market located in Puck's Alley. Finally, this past Wednesday, they opened their doors! Nijiya Market is a California based Japanese market that decided to open a location in Hawaii...and boy am I glad they did! Enjoy some pictures...smile

King's Fish House - Tempe, Arizona

In the flurry of our shopping after the conference (during our own time of course), we decided to have dinner at King's Fish House. And they definitely knew what they were doing! Arizona was quite hot that day but they have these misting showers for the outdoor patrons, it's too bad I couldn't try it! Anyhow, I got a few pics of what my companions ate...and of course my dish! Here goes!

YC's Mongolian Grill - Tempe, Arizona

YC's Mongolian Grill invites you to experience a unique and delicious dining experience. At YC's Mongolian Grill you "create your own stir-fry," selecting from the freshest and healthiest of stir-fry ingredients. During my stay in Arizona, I really wanted to try some great places to eat that we wouldn't find here in Hawaii. I came across YC's Mongolian Grill on a review site and decided to give this place a try, how did the food turn out?

Olive Garden - Tempe, Arizona

A trip to the mainland is never complete without a visit to Olive Garden. I'm sure many people would say that Olive Garden serves very commercialized Italian food, but I think it's the best I've tasted! Until I visit Italy, it will have to do for now. If I were to compare it to the Italian cuisine we have in Hawaii, it can't even compare! Anyhow, here's my little ditty about our Arizona Olive Garden experience.

Benvenuto!

Milagros Restaurant - Tempe, Arizona

Been having a bit of a lull in the food blogging experience, but hopefully I am back and fully refreshed! I'll be posting some great stuff from my trip to Arizona back in April which will start today! I also hope to switch my blog over to wordpress but I'm not sure I can import greymatter easily over...so I may have to do it manually! confused Anyway, on this particular trip, I stayed at the Fiesta Inn Resort and this restaurant is located in the hotel! Check it out...

Two Ladies Kitchen - Hilo, Hawaii

On our last day in Hilo, Two Ladies Kitchen was our very last visit. I heard nothing but great things about this little shop so I called in a day earlier to place an order for two dozen strawberry mochi. Not all for myself of course! I brought it back to share with friends, family and coworkers. Let's take a look at this little kitchen...

Hilo Lunch Shop - Hilo, Hawaii

We planned a little road trip over to the other side of the island and decided to grab some take-out from Hilo Lunch Shop before heading out! Oh boy, I have never seen such a long line for a lunch shop...but that is always a good sign! The food was well worth it and held me over for the VERY long drive. smile

Mehana Brewing Company - Hilo, Hawaii

While I'm not a beer drinker myself, I just had to go to Mehana and bring back a beer briefcase for my father. I didn't get to ask him how he enjoyed it, but he certainly did drink it all. Here are just a few pictures to share. smile
