06/11/2007: "Assaggio Ristorante - Seattle, WA"
I visited Seattle over a year ago and am still in love with what I experienced. I didn't get to capture a lot of the good eats we had, but I will share two places I enjoyed. And interestingly enough, both of these places were either within the hotel or right by it. Assaggio Ristorante is a restaurant we decided to try out because we thought it was related to the Assaggio's we have here. We were wrong...haha...but let's see what went on.....
A view of the restaurant's art. Sitting across from us, I think, was either the owner or head chef...More details...
More art, this was on the ceiling!
Beautiful chandelier
Adorable couple and more beautiful interior shots.
I love this shot, because it shows the action outside. I really love city life, especially since I'm from Hawaii...this was a great experience.
Table settings...
The condiment for our bread, olive oil, tomatoes, garlic? I can't quite remember...
Numminess...on the bread.
We ordered mussels for our appetizer, looks good yes?
We agree! We destroyed it.
My friend had a salmon dish, I can't quite remember if he liked it. I would like to say yes. I hope he comments to share his thoughts!
I wish I had taken a shot pre-digestion. This was a seafood pasta, and I wasn't too pleased.Honestly, I think this restaurant really served rustic Italian fare, which can be a good thing. I guess I'm very used to commercialized Italian food, so I wasn't able to enjoy it as much as I should have. All in all, it was a pleasant experience. It was a little pricey so I expected more.

salmon is almost the only fish i will eat. i do remember enjoying the salmon dish that i had. the potatoes that was served with it was pretty good being that i am a rice lover. it's a dish worth recommending, i think. and yes, we totally demolished our appetizers. yummm.
