**COMMENTING**
Hi guys, I've have been having a big issue with spammers on this site so I have to add the static phrase element to all comments. With the commenting system on this system, you may need to click on the "Post Comment" button, rather than pressing enter on the keyboard. I hope this doesn't hinder the comments, I appreciate them all! Thank you!

06/16/2007: "Genki Sushi"

One of my ABSOLUTE favorite foods in the world is spicy tuna. There are many places that serve it, but there is only one place that I could never do without. Genki Sushi, I'm not sure of the status of the restaurant in the nation or even in Japan, but they serve the best spicy tuna I have ever tasted. Enough with the jabbering and on to the slobbering...

Genki Sushi's Mascot? What's the word for that...

Click for more pictures!

A picture of their Chicken Karaage ($2.60 USD), which really is Japanese style Fried Chicken. The crust is a bit salty (in a good way!) so it goes perfectly with freshly squeezed lemon.

Their vegetable croquette ($1.40 USD), always a favorite. Tonkatsu sauce is drizzled on top.

A close-up picture of the beautiful croquette, this is the only way I will eat peas!

A dish of their fresh salmon sushi ($2.60 USD). Genki is one of the best places to get fresh salmon sushi, I don't know how to explain it, but other places seem to serve not so fresh pieces of the fish.

Finally! A shot for the win! Spicy Tuna ($2.00 USD)...

Never hurts to get a close up...

Genki Sushi is definitely one of the most popular sushi joints here in Hawaii. Each location gets EXTREMELY crowded during meal times, but I say it's worth the wait. Although, I usually go during the off-peak hours to get my fix. Pearlridge also has a great drive-through option which I have definitely taken advantage of.

Mascot characters are called maskotto kera. If someone has drawn a face using punctuation marks ( ^_^, ;_;, O_o, etc.) it's called kaomoji.
