**COMMENTING**
Hi guys, I've have been having a big issue with spammers on this site so I have to add the static phrase element to all comments. With the commenting system on this system, you may need to click on the "Post Comment" button, rather than pressing enter on the keyboard. I hope this doesn't hinder the comments, I appreciate them all! Thank you!

08/09/2007: "Lunch of the Day - Dyed Eggs"

I've been on a Japanese food kick lately if you haven't noticed, and that has transferred into my own cooking as well. I haven't made a lot of recipe posts myself, but I do enjoy cooking! I got myself a Marukai membership card this past month and ordered a BUNCH of Japanese recipe books from Amazon. Once I become less lazy, I will try to make my own vegetable sides for some great bentos! Otherwise, I have been getting great inspiration from Biggie over at Lunch in a Box. She does great posts, and this bento I'm sharing with you today definitely came from her ideas!

Why am I drowning this little piggy?

More pictures of my lunch!

Purple star for lunch?

Both are being used to create this of course!

Another view of the bento.

Salmon cha-han. Oh so good! It's a mix that I bought from Marukai, they ran out and I really really hope they order more soon.

Close up of the finished piggy. I guess for these shapes to take on it's full form, I need to buy the biggest eggs possible (I used large).

And of course the finished star. Isn't that pretty? My favorite color too! If you can't tell, both piggy and star are hard boiled eggs, I used ice cream molds from Williams Sonoma.

I'm updating this away from home and I don't know why some pictures aren't working! Sorry guys, I will fix it as soon as I get home. But don't these pictures look great? Not trying to toot my own horn or anything, because all the credit definitely goes to Biggie. I do need to find a way to fill up the gaps though, it looks a little sparse.
