**COMMENTING**
Hi guys, I've have been having a big issue with spammers on this site so I have to add the static phrase element to all comments. With the commenting system on this system, you may need to click on the "Post Comment" button, rather than pressing enter on the keyboard. I hope this doesn't hinder the comments, I appreciate them all! Thank you!

09/18/2007: "Yohei Sushi"

Sorry it's taken me a while to update! Today was not a good day, I stayed home from work because I was sick. And this past weekend!...I ate at two places that I didn't take pictures of...my camera died! So maybe I'll do a quick mention about them. I tried out Andy's Kahuku Shrimp (thumbs down) and the International House of Pancakes - Windward Mall (thumbs up). The staff was very nice at Andy's, but the shrimp ended up being a disappointment. There was this very thick floury coating on the shrimp...that had a weird after taste...and gave me a sore throat. IHOP was good, service started off well...but we were soon forgotten by the waitress (granted, she was a bit older). Anyhow, the food was pretty good so I would return to give it another try!

Let's move onto another place I tried a few weeks ago. I've seen Yohei Sushi a lot in passing and in commercials...and always wondered how it looked inside. So here is the review:

The familiar sign...

Yohei menu.

Yohei interior.

A warm cup of green tea to soothe your soul...

Sushi Bar. Do you see the sushi master behind the bar? If you watch a lot of KIKU...you would recognize him from the commercial!

Condiments...

Sorry guys, looks like I completely blanked on food names and prices. Here is an udon set that Connie got. Udon, nigiri and tempura.

Close-up of the udon. She did not enjoy this, I had a taste and I wasn't a fan neither. Joshua surprisingly was! Kids have interesting tastes.

I enjoy eating sushi with Connie because she only seems to like the typical pieces of fish...which leaves me the good stuff.

Judging from the picture, it doesn't look as well done as other places. It definitely looks undercooked, but was still pretty okay.

My obsession with Chirashi Sushi continues, much to my disappointment.

Close-up of the sushi rice...

And the wonderous fish. Look at how red that ahi is, you can't get much higher quality than that. Although I don't remember the exact price, I think it was about $20 dollars. It definitely did not satisfy my palate by any means.

Miso soup, very typical.

Miso soup contents...

Okay, I don't know what got into me for this post! I have almost no information for you guys! I apologize now, and I would promise details later...but I don't think I will be visiting this place again anytime soon. The crowd seemed to be made up of a good mix of locals and traditional Japanese people. I suppose if I were to return, I would try another dish in hopes of being happier with the results.
