**COMMENTING**
Hi guys, I've have been having a big issue with spammers on this site so I have to add the static phrase element to all comments. With the commenting system on this system, you may need to click on the "Post Comment" button, rather than pressing enter on the keyboard. 10/13/2007: "Panda Cuisine"

Not only have I been on the search for a great ramen place to eat, but also for a great dim sum restaurant to eat it! Don't get me wrong, you can find a great dim sum restaurant anytime during the day...but how about at night? People crave breakfast foods all hours of the day! So we decided to give Panda Cuisine a try. A meal that Allyna was nice enough to treat me with. smile

Table settings.

Chinese tea, always the best.

Pristine.

Selection of hot sauces.

Dumplings, I forgot the exact name...

One of my favorites, fried seaweed roll. It's usually stuffed with a chive and shrimp filling, it's great!

Pork hash, nothing to write home about.

Shrimp dumplings.

Spareribs with black bean sauce, classic and always good.

Meatballs. If I recall correctly, these were surprisingly good. I don't like the ones we get from Chinatown because the taste of orange peel is too strong. I don't think Panda Cuisine uses any orange peel so I was happy.

Custard tarts, my favorite pastry. Not so much here.

Horrible pastry, truly.

Mango Pudding.

Allyna did not like this dish neither. She said the topping, was quite watery. We were both expecting it to be condensed milk, but now we don't know what it was.

Panda Cuisine considers themselves to be a fine dining restaurant. It is located in Ala Moana, so the prices are obviously much higher. The food is mediocre at best. Edible, but in no way comparable to the great dim sum you can find in Chinatown. Stick to Chinatown, cheaper prices and better quality? You can't beat that!
