11/20/2007: "Natsunoya Tea House"
Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates again! I've been quite busy with work and come home quite exhausted. I had lunch at Shokudo on Sunday and completely forgot to take pictures! The nerve of me! We had some great food...Seafood Dynamite Dip (not so good), Garlic Shrimp Rice (Awesome) and Kristian had their Miso Glazed Salmon (He enjoyed it!). Anyway, let me jump in and get a new post up before I head off to work. I attended a birthday party at Natsunoya Tea House recently and it was great to see a traditional tea house in my neighborhood! I was a bit disappointed by the quality of the room, but the food was great!

Potato Salad, I enjoyed this quite a bit!
Somen Salad, the presentation is okay. I can see the rough edges though...
Miso Salmon
Teriyaki Chicken
Agedashi Chicken Tofu. I love this! Is this easy to make? I would love to make it!
Tonkatsu Pork
Fried NoodlesAll in all, I would say their food is pretty good! The view is nice, but I bet it would be spectacular at night! The menu is a bit pricey, but well worth it I think. If you plan to come here, anticipate a three dollar valet fee.

Hey Noreen!
Hope you enjoyed your day off today.
Wow, I didn't know they had so much! I would go more often, but it looks like they only do parties!

I love Natsunoya! The picture of the tonkatsu doesn't do it justice because it doesn't appear tender, but it really is. They also make good shrimp tempura - the batter is light and flaky. Kabocha tempura is awesome...but I don't know if they make it anymore.

I haven't heard of Nu'anua Onsen before! After doing some research, I'm not sure if it's still open. I found a few places that gave directions to people...and referred to the street as the "old nuuanu onsen"...so that could be a bad thing yes?

Oooh, Natsunoya. Haven't been there is such a long time. Food looks ono!
The other good one is Nu'uanu Onsen in Kalihi Valley. Are they still in business? Heard they were having problems.
