01/26/2008: "Genki Sushi - Ward Centre"
Hello Everyone! I hope everyone is doing well. I noticed there was a bit of a lull in my regular visits to my fellow food bloggers, are we all having a busy week? Well, I'll be looking forward to a long weekend of studying...I've procrastinated long enough! So let me share with you a recent visit to the newest Genki Sushi in Oahu. Actually I have been there a few times now, but will post an earlier visit. This visit was done when they were still pretty new, so the service was amazing. Well, let's just say that, now that they've been open for a while...the service is definitely not as good. But let's get to the pictures shall we?

Tuna Salad ($1.40 USD)
Their tuna salad is great, perfectly seasoned with a perfect amount of crunch from the cucumbers! 
Teriyaki Chicken Bowl ($2.60 USD)
Delicious... 
Fresh Salmon ($2.60 USD)
This sushi is wonderful, the mayonnaise and onions on top makes it perfect! Does anyone remember when they used to give a small slice of lemon with their salmon sushi? Or am I thinking of another sush restaurant?
Apple Won Ton ($2.60 USD) 
Lightly powdered with sugar... 
Garlic Unagi ($2.60 USD) 
This was one of my favorites that night! They don't have this on the menu, so I think they were just mixing up some recipes...and threw them onto the conveyor belt. It was very delicious, maybe you can custom order this!
You can see that I really liked it...I couldn't stop taking pictures!
Chicken Karaage ($2.60 USD)
The slice of lemon adds a great addition of flavor to the chicken...
Spam Nigiri ($1.40 USD) - I don't see this on the menu neither!
Garlic Ahi ($2.60 USD)
Another favorite of mine! I think it's safe to say that anything with garlic is a favorite. Ward makes it great because they lightly sear the top of the ahi so the interior is still raw. Genki Sushi in Pearl City cooks the ahi all the way through, I'm not a fan of that...

Hi Nate!
It is onolicious! I hope you get to try it when you come visit! I found out that only Ward has the garlic unagi, so you might want to check this one out. I tried to order it at Ala Moana and couldn't get it!

I agree with you. Service is definitely not as good as the grand opening, it's such a pity...and I never see the same staff around!
