Hi guys, I've have been having a big issue with spammers on this site so I have to add the static phrase element to all comments. 03/19/2008: "Morton's The Steakhouse"

Hello everyone! Here's a review of a visit I had to Morton's Steakhous back in November. I remember it was November because it was for Kristian's birthday! smile Unfortunately, we didn't have a good time...at all. First, I think us having a coupon opened the door to horrible service. Service should never be compromised, and the coupon was still worth at least a hundred bucks for the meal...so I wasn't too pleased. And this time, unfortunately, the food was not good enough to make up for the service. But let's get to the pictures.

A very dark picture of the very dark dining experience...

Click here for more pictures and the full review...

Here is a menu on their wall. They don't have actual menus anymore, they just push a cart up to your table with the foods they serve...in raw form.

Table setting...

Fresh bread, not too bad. I like soft bread.

Dissecting the bread...

Butter for you to share...

Caesar salad. It's very good! Kristian doens't like salad so I asked for it to go and the waiter wasn't too happy about that.

Delicious...

We ordered a broccoli side dish. We did not expect two whole blanched broccolis with a saucer of sauce to be served...

The sauce wasn't too good either...

Here is the hash browns we decided to order. Once again, not good. The flavor wasn't good and it absorbed a lot of oil!

Kristian and I both got a filet and got to choose a side seafood dish. We choose the shrimp and the crab cake to share.

The shrimp was pretty good...

Here is the steak, it looked overdone for Kristian. The flavor was also lacking.

Looks rough doesn't it?

Here is my dish with the filet and the crab cake. Yes, it is as small as it looks...

I asked for medium rare...

It wasn't cooked too bad but the flavor once again, bland.

Best part of the evening! The crab cake was delicious...

Lumps of luscious crab meat...

The coupon also included two desserts of our choice. Kristian got the key lime pie...

I can't quite remember if he liked it or not...

I got the molten chocolate cake...

Doesn't it look beautiful?

I just love when the center oozes out. I wish I liked the dessert more. I didn't like the chocolate they used so I didn't enjoy the dessert either...

i must say that the cookies you made for me (thank you!) were a lot better than the desserts we had here. the shrimp and the crab cake were the highlights of our dinner. the service sure was a bismal. i remember my steak being very very dry. ruth's steak house is a million times better in food and service.
