08/04/2008: "T.C. Eggington’s Brunchery"

Here is my final Arizona food post! After this, we will be back to local grinds for a while. smile During my last full day in Arizona, we wanted to check out some different places and this was a definite find! A nice little gem tucked away in Mesa. How did the breakfast go? On with the pictures!

Look at their menu, too cute!

A high chair for babies, wonderfully rustic.

Restaurant interior

Table setting, I really felt like the little details made for a charming country experience.

Every table gets its own fresh pitcher of water when you sit down. They are also very good about refilling the water as it gets low.

Huevos Con Chorizo ($8.95 USD)

This dish comes with chorizo sausage, diced onions, parlour potatoes all sauteed together and topped with salsa and melted cheeses. It is finished off with two eggs and a tortilla on the side.

Parlour Potatoes, hands down the best potatoes I have ever tasted. The flavor was amazing, definitely recommended. I would eat that by itself...heehee...

Crab Stuffed Pastry ($8.95 USD)

I enjoyed this dish very much. This dish includes baked pastry shells stuffed with artichoke hearts and crab meat topped with poached eggs and lightly covered in hollandaise sauce. I have to admit, I was a bit disappointed at first because I thought it would come with real crab. But all in all, it was still delicious!

This restaurant was wonderful, I wish we had one here in Hawaii...or even more throughout the country! The restaurant had a very laid back rustic country feel which felt very authentic. The little details they placed within helped to create one of the most welcoming places I have ever been.
