**COMMENTING**
Hi guys, I've have been having a big issue with spammers on this site so I have to add the static phrase element to all comments. With the commenting system on this system, you may need to click on the "Post Comment" button, rather than pressing enter on the keyboard. 09/04/2008: "Tenkaippin Ramen"

Tenkaippin Ramen commercials have flooded Hawaii TVs for a few months now, with very famous sumo wrestling stars singing its praises. I decided to give this ramen joint a try and came away with an interesting experience. Come along for the journey, will you?

Sorry for the horrible photoshop skills, I hope their "faces" don't scare you!

A few more interior shots and my great photoshop skills...

My favorite drink of choice, ice cold water

Table side settings

Chili sauce

Fresh garlic and chili peppers...delish!

I appreciate the labeling of sauces!

Six piece gyoza ($3.75 USD)

Self-made dipping sauce

C Set Kotteri Ramen ($10.85 USD) which includes a 3 piece fried chicken dish

Here is the fried chicken...

The shredded cabbage that comes with the fried chicken, sorry for the blurriness! I was still adjusting to my new camera...

Charsu Kotteri Ramen ($8.75 USD)

Close-up of the charsu...yummy!

Look at that thick broth!

Noodles shot!

Kotteri Ramen is Tenkaippin's number one seller, it's made with a healthy chicken base that's rich and unique. Unique is the word alright! The taste of the broth was reminiscent chicken bone marrow. I'm not used to the taste and left the restaurant feeling very full and had a heavy feeling because of the thickness of the soup! It's been a couple of months that I've tried it so at this point, I wouldn't mind trying it again.
